If you didn’t know yet, I have an Instagram account called @chuvafinds, which is dedicated to seeking unique items everywhere.
Some people have no patience for shopping. I do. Just drop me off at the mall, and if it’s a new mall to me, I’ll start on the highest floor and work my way down.
Last week I was invited to check out Century City Mall in Makati, which is owned by Century Properties. And I’m glad because I’ve never had the chance to explore that mall.
So I started at the top which has an event space and 12 Monkeys restaurant. But I wasn’t hungry so I went down this escalator
Construction going on. The barricade reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki
On the 3rd level, Le Petit Souffle caught my eye because of the decor.
Also because Chef Miko Aspiras of Scout’s Honor runs this place, which looks like outdoors indoor. I wonder if the food is as good as the interiors
Nice floor
Two of my favorite gadget stores are in the mall. Digital Walker is on the 3rd level
I can swear by the Rimowa-esque Momax portable charger. Among all my chargers, this is the one hasn’t conked out.
On the 2nd level is Beyond The Box, which is an Apple reseller
If you could get only one thing in the mall, what would you? So I got myself the Space Grey Mac I’ve been thinking about for months. At six months to pay, it’s affordable.
Also at the mall is a space called Mystery Manila, which is more for the older kids. It has mystery rooms where groups of people are locked in and given clues to solve a problem in order to get out.
Basically I’m chicken, so this one’s not for me
I went to Dimensione on the 3rd floor. It’s a homeowner’s wasteland, where I bought my organizing drawer bins a while back
I love the minimalist home accessories
They also have unique gift items, like this colorful spice rack
The little Toby’s Estate on the 3rd floor serves your specialty coffees from Australia with freshly baked goods
Right next to it are the cinemas, which I have yet to experience
Especially the premiere cinema which has the lazy boy seats
There’s a medium-sized Uniqlo on the 2nd floor where you can stock up on basics as well as winter wear, in case you’re traveling for the holidays
Blue Carreon Home is on the 2nd level, named after its owner, lifestyle and fashion journalist, Blue Carreon.
It stocks home accessories, as well as gift items for that hard-to-please friend or relative. Good prices too!
I love the macaron serving tray
The pencils
And the sosy doggie toys
Speaking of sosy, there’s a posh-looking children’s store on the 2nd level called Chibi Momo, which looks more like it was plucked out of Madison Avenue.
At Bench Edited, they have the cute Albertus Swanepoel x BENCH hats
The Geraldine Javier collab
and the colorful camouflage slip-ons
On the first floor there’s a big Rubi store, which sells footwear at a steal
Check this out: three pairs of flip-flops for Php 500!
Love the marmy sandals
Next: I’ll be checking out Hole In The Wall at the 4th level as well as the stores in the basement. The mall isn’t as small as I thought apparently. It needs a second day to explore.
